Rachael LOVES getting into Sadie's water bowl. She was soaked today but had such a great time splashing that I just let her play for a couple minutes.

9 months

Rachael had her 9 month check up today. She's 19.2 lbs and 29 inches long. She got two shots and blood work done and didn't even bat an eye!

Longwood Gardens

Since the weather was semi nice yesterday we took Rachael to Longwood Gardens. It was also our first time there during the day and for the fall season.

Outlet shoppers

Rachael and I met Nicole and Sofia at the Philadelphia Outlets yesterday. The girls were not the greatest shoppers, but hopefully in time they'll love it as much as Nicole and I do.

We had our first dinner tonight on the deck and snapped a couple pictures of our centerpiece.

After many summers without, the deck was finally completed this week! Sadie and Rachael loved sitting outside.

Transplanting

I am very lucky to have a mother who is a fantastic gardener. While at my parents yesterday my mom gave me several plants for the front of the house. I planted them before the rain comes this morning. Hope I did an ok job, and I hope to be even half as good a gardener as my mom. Once the deck comes (hopefully next week) the plan is to put a veggie garden out back. More pictures of that I'm sure to follow.

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent the weekend at several cookouts, the Bell's on Sat, our house with Mike and Jen on Sunday, at the Palaferro's yesterday, and the Gould's last night. It was a great weekend with family and friends.

Rachael and I were working on rolling over more (she rolled over for the first time last night!) and Sadie didn't want me to forget that she's the first baby in the family.

Rachael found her thumb over the weekend and I took a cute picture of her when we got back from her 2 month check up today. She's 12 lbs 6 oz and almost 24 inches long.

First Walk

Since it was so nice this weekend we took the girls (both Rachael and Sadie) on their first walk together around the block. Rachael had a great time in the stroller and Sadie was thrilled to get out and get some fresh air. She and I have had some major cabin fever!

I've been meaning to update the blog with the newest member of the Bell family.  Rachael Elisabeth was born 1/7/09 at 5:43 am at Paoli Hospital.  She was 7 lbs 9 oz, and at her one month doctor appt she's up to 10 lbs 12 oz!  She's trying to talk today, learning to control her head, and smiling at me and Mike.
